Duke has several core administrative systems used throughout the University and Health System to provide administrative support for our core missions of teaching, research and patient care.  Most of Duke’s administrative functions fall within two major applications – SAP (financial, HR/Payroll, Procurement, Post-Award research administration) and PeopleSoft (Student Administration).  Several other administrative applications exist to provide additional functionality.  The core components of SAP are described below.  Other administrative applications may be found below.

Duke@Work is a self-service web site that offers faculty and staff access to the core administrative functions available from SAP and other related applications. 

Duke@Work serves as Duke’s Employee Self Service web site from which employees can view pay statements online, update home and work addresses, set up or change bank accounts for direct deposit, and enroll for benefits during the open enrollment period. 

Faculty may use the web site to view information and reports regarding any research projects for which they are the Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator, including start-up funds.

Administrative personnel (supervisors, payroll representatives, business managers, and grants administrators) can access online functions such as iForms, Candidate Selection, BPS (Budget Planning System), Grants Management, and Financial Reports with more functions frequently being added.

SAP

SAP supports most of the university’s and health system’s core administrative processes, including accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, human resources, inventory management, payroll, post-award research administration, procurement,  and travel reimbursement, The SAP integrated suite includes client/server software (SAP and Business Warehouse) and a web-based component (BPS, iForms, MyResearch, and other HR and financial functions found on the Duke@Work webpage).

Other Administrative Applications

Duke Hub (formerly "ACES") is the student self-service application.

SPS assists Duke personnel with the management of sponsored projects.

Time & Attendance, an API system, is an electronic time and attendance system used by select departments within Duke.

STORM is the faculty/staff self-service academic application providing users with various access to such items class and student management.

Duke's central internet payment processor.

Web Central

Web Central allows departmental users to track and plan space at Duke.
